Low level brick lights in the terrace walls, path and step lighting, and external lighting around the house, orangery and pool house of a large family home in Keston Park, near Bromley.
The brief.
The owners of this large family home in Keston Park, on the edge of Bromley, had their gardens and terraces completely relandscaped, with new brick retaining walls, a large stone terrace, an orangery and a pool house. They wanted the outdoor spaces to be as usable after dark as during the day, with lighting that looked built in rather than added on afterwards. We worked with the landscapers so the cables and light positions went in while the walls were being built.
What we did.
- Brick lights built into the retaining walls, lighting the terrace, steps and paths at low level
- Cable routes planned with the landscapers and laid before the walls and paving went down
- Armoured cable runs across the garden to the walls and outbuildings
- External wall lights around the house, orangery and pool house
- Power and lighting to the pool house
- Outdoor rated fittings and connections, with RCD protection on every external circuit
- Full testing and an Electrical Installation Certificate for all the new work
The result.
A garden and terrace that look stunning after dark, with steps and paths safely lit, and every light built neatly into the stonework so the fittings almost disappear during the day.
