A house at night with lights on

Intruder alarms for your home.

Wired and wireless alarm systems with door contacts, motion sensors and app control. Installed neatly, set up with you and explained before we leave.

Peace of mind when you are out.

A visible, working alarm is one of the simplest ways to make a home less attractive to burglars. Modern systems are far easier to live with than the old keypads that went off at three in the morning for no reason.

We help you choose between a wired or wireless system, place the sensors where they actually protect you, and set it up so it fits around your household, including pets, late shifts and children coming home from school.

When people call us about alarms

  • Moving into a home with no alarm, or one nobody knows the code for
  • An old system with false alarms or a failing panel
  • Wanting to arm and check the alarm from your phone
  • Adding an extension, garage or garden room to the system
  • After a break in nearby, or in your own home
  • Pairing an alarm with CCTV or smart lighting

What's included.

Wired and wireless systems

Hard wired panels for renovations, wireless systems where you want minimal disruption.

Sensors and contacts

Motion sensors, door and window contacts and pet tolerant detectors.

Sirens and strobes

External bell boxes and internal sounders placed for maximum effect.

App control

Arm, disarm and check the system from your phone where the panel supports it.

CCTV alongside

Cameras cabled and installed as part of the same job if you want them.

Upgrades and repairs

Old panels replaced, faulty sensors swapped and false alarms traced.

Wired or wireless?

Wired systems are very reliable and need no sensor batteries, but cables have to reach every detector. They make most sense during a rewire or renovation, when the walls and floors are already open. Wireless systems go in quickly with very little mess, and are a good fit for finished homes.

At the survey we walk round the house with you, talk about how you use it and recommend a system and layout. You get a clear quote, and on the day we set up the codes and app with you and show everyone how to use it.

Questions about intruder alarms.

Is a wireless alarm as good as a wired one?

A good quality wireless system is reliable for most homes. The sensors need fresh batteries every few years, and the panel tells you when one is running low.

Will my pets set the alarm off?

Pet tolerant motion sensors and careful placement prevent most false alarms. Tell us about your pets at the survey and we will plan around them.

Can the alarm alert my phone?

Many modern panels send notifications to an app, so you know straight away if it is triggered. We will show you which systems offer this.

Can you take over an existing alarm?

Often, yes, depending on the make and age of the panel. If it cannot be reset or supported, we will recommend a replacement.

Is the alarm monitored?

The systems we fit are normally self monitored through an app and sirens. If you need professionally monitored response for insurance, check your policy first and we can advise on the options.
