Commercial kitchen electrics.
Three phase supplies for cooking equipment, power to extraction, gas interlock wiring and emergency stops for restaurants, cafes, pubs and schools.
Built for a busy kitchen.
Commercial kitchens are among the hardest working electrical installations there are. Heavy cooking equipment, heat, steam, grease and constant cleaning all test the wiring, so it needs to be designed and installed with that in mind.
We work on new kitchen fit-outs and refits, upgrade supplies for new equipment, and keep existing kitchens safe with inspection, testing and repairs. We plan the work around service so your kitchen is out of action for as little time as possible.
Typical kitchen projects
- New restaurant and cafe kitchen fit-outs
- Supplies for new ovens, ranges and combi ovens
- Power and controls for extraction canopies
- Gas interlock wiring for ventilation
- Emergency stop systems for the cooking line
- EICRs and repairs for existing kitchens

Working with your other trades.
A kitchen fit-out involves the equipment supplier, the ventilation contractor and a Gas Safe registered engineer as well as the electrician. We wire the electrical side of the gas interlock and extraction controls, and coordinate with the other trades so the system is commissioned and tested together.
Equipment supplies vary, so we work from the manufacturer data for each item and agree positions before first fix. At handover you get Electrical Installation Certificates and test results, and we can carry out regular EICRs to keep the kitchen compliant.
Accredited and approved.
NICEIC Approved Contractor (registration no. 609893000), SafeContractor approved, and ECS-carded electricians on every job.

Questions about commercial kitchens.
Do we need a three phase supply?
Many commercial kitchens do, because heavy cooking equipment draws a lot of power. We check your existing supply against the equipment schedule and advise on any upgrade.
Do you connect the gas interlock?
We install and connect the electrical side of the interlock and extraction controls. The gas side must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer, and we coordinate with them.
Can you work around our opening hours?
Yes. We can work early mornings, late nights or on closed days so your kitchen keeps trading.
How often should a commercial kitchen have an EICR?
Many commercial premises are inspected every five years, but kitchens can need more frequent checks given the conditions. The report will recommend the right interval.
