Electric heating and hot water.
Storage heaters, panel heaters, underfloor heating, immersion heaters and electric showers. Installed on the right circuits, with the right controls.
Warmth without the gas.
Plenty of homes and flats run entirely on electricity, and more people are choosing electric heating in extensions, loft conversions and garden rooms. Modern heaters are far more controllable than the old storage heaters many people remember.
Heating and hot water draw a lot of current, so the circuits behind them matter. We make sure every heater, shower and immersion has a correctly sized cable and the right protection, and that your supply can cope with the extra load.

Getting the circuit right.
An electric shower or a set of storage heaters can draw more current than anything else in the house. Upgrading to a bigger shower often means a new, larger cable back to the consumer unit, not just swapping the unit on the wall. We check the existing circuit and your supply before quoting.
For underfloor heating, we work with your floor layer or tiler so the mat goes down at the right stage, and test it before and after it is covered. Controls are set up with you, so you know how to get the most from your tariff.

Questions about electric heating.
Can I fit a more powerful electric shower on my existing cable?
Sometimes, but often not. A higher rated shower usually needs a larger cable and suitable protection. We check the circuit before recommending a shower.
Are modern storage heaters better than old ones?
Yes. Newer models hold their heat better and have electronic controls, so you get warmth when you want it rather than all morning.
Is electric underfloor heating expensive to run?
It works best in well insulated rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens and extensions. A good thermostat and timer make a big difference to running costs.
Do you install gas boilers?
No. We work on electric heating and hot water only. For gas appliances you need a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Can you fit a timer to my immersion heater?
Yes. A timer or smart controller lets you heat water when you need it, and on cheaper tariffs where you have one.
