Fire alarm systems.
Installation, upgrades and regular servicing of fire detection and alarm systems for offices, shops, schools and residential blocks.
Early warning, properly maintained.
A fire alarm system gives people time to get out. Under fire safety law, the responsible person for a non domestic building must make sure suitable detection and warning is in place, as identified in the fire risk assessment, and that it is kept in good working order.
We install conventional and addressable systems, extend and upgrade existing ones, and carry out the routine servicing that keeps them reliable and your records up to date.
What we cover
- New systems for fit-outs and refurbishments
- Extensions when a building layout changes
- Upgrades from old conventional panels
- Routine servicing and maintenance visits
- Fault finding on panels, detectors and sounders
- Fire alarm cabling as part of a wider installation
What's included.

Smoke, heat and multi sensor detectors placed to suit each area.
Call points and sounders
Manual call points, sounders and beacons on every escape route.
Control panels
Conventional and addressable panels installed and commissioned.
Fire rated cabling
Fire resistant cable and fixings so the system keeps working in a fire.
Servicing
Periodic servicing with the results recorded in your logbook.
Repairs and faults

Designed to the right category.
BS 5839 Part 1 groups fire alarm systems for non domestic buildings into categories, from manual systems that rely on call points to automatic systems designed either mainly to protect life or mainly to protect property. The right category for your building comes from your fire risk assessment, and it sets where detectors need to go.
We work from your fire risk assessment and any specification, install and commission the system, and hand over the certificates and records you need. Regular servicing, usually at intervals of no more than six months, keeps it reliable between weekly user tests.
Accredited and approved.
NICEIC Approved Contractor (registration no. 609893000), SafeContractor approved, and ECS-carded electricians on every job.

Questions about fire alarms.
Which fire alarm category does my building need?
It depends on how the building is used and who is in it. Your fire risk assessment should identify the level of protection, and we design the system to match.
What is the difference between conventional and addressable?
A conventional system shows which zone has activated. An addressable system identifies the exact device, which makes finding the fire or fault much quicker in larger buildings.
How often should a fire alarm be serviced?
BS 5839 recommends servicing at intervals of no more than six months, with a weekly test of a call point carried out by the building users.
Can you take over servicing from another company?
Yes. We review the existing system and logbook, check its condition and carry on with the maintenance schedule.
Do you install fire alarms in HMOs and blocks of flats?
Yes. Residential buildings are covered by different parts of the standard, and we work to the system your fire risk assessment requires.
