Home EV charger installation.
A smart charge point on your drive or wall, installed safely, notified to the network operator and ready to charge the same day.
Charge at home, properly.
A dedicated home charger is faster and safer than a three pin plug and a long extension lead. It also lets you charge on cheaper overnight tariffs, which is where most of the savings from an electric car come from.
Every home is different. The size of your supply, how your house is earthed and the route from your consumer unit to your parking space all affect the installation. We check all of that at the survey, so the quote you get is the price you pay.
What we check at the survey
- The size of your main fuse and your existing electrical load
- Your earthing arrangement and whether an earth rod is needed
- Space and protection in your consumer unit
- The cable route to your drive or parking space
- The best mounting position for the charger and cable
- Whether a load management device is needed

Questions about eV chargers.
How long does an EV charger installation take?
Most are done in half a day to a day, depending on the cable route and whether any upgrade work is needed.
Will my supply be big enough?
Most homes can take a 7kW charger. If your supply is small or already heavily loaded, a load management device can share the power safely.
Can you fit a charger if I park on the street?
Only where the charger and cable stay on your own property. Running a cable across a public pavement is not allowed without permission from the council.
Which charger should I choose?
It depends on your car, whether you want solar integration, and how much you want to control from an app. We will talk you through the options at the survey.
Do you install chargers for businesses?
Yes. We install workplace and fleet chargers as part of our commercial work.
