What changes the price.
A guide price is where most jobs start. These are the things that move it.
- The size of the property and the number of circuits
- The condition of the existing wiring
- Access, cable routes and making good
- The equipment you choose, such as a particular EV charger
- Work outside normal hours
Emergency call-outs.
We offer a 24/7 service, subject to engineer availability, and generally aim to attend within 1 to 2 hours in Dartford and Bexley. Emergency call-outs have their own rates, separate from these prices. Your first 30 minutes is charged at half the hourly rate, from £50 + VAT on a weekday, with higher rates in the evenings, at weekends and overnight.

Questions about prices.
Why are your prices "from" prices?
Because no two installations are the same. The final price depends on the size of the property, the condition of the existing wiring, access and the parts you choose. We confirm the price with you before any work starts.
Do your prices include VAT?
No. All the prices on this page exclude VAT, which is added at 20%. The table shows the price including VAT as well.
How much does a domestic EICR cost?
From £200 + VAT. Larger homes and properties with more circuits take longer to test, so cost more. See landlord EICRs.
How much does a new consumer unit cost?
From £600 + VAT for a typical home. The price can rise if the wiring needs remedial work before the new board can be fitted safely. See consumer unit replacement.
How much does it cost to install an EV charger?
From £850 + VAT. The final price depends on the charger, the cable run from your consumer unit and whether your supply needs any upgrade work. See EV charger installation.
How much does it cost to add a socket?
An additional double socket is from £120 + VAT, taken from an existing circuit that is in good condition. See lighting and sockets.
What is your hourly rate?
Our standard rate is £60 + VAT per hour. A fault-finding call-out is from £120 + VAT.
What about emergency call-outs?
We offer a 24/7 service, subject to engineer availability, and aim to attend within 1 to 2 hours in Dartford and Bexley. Emergency call-outs have their own rates, from £50 + VAT for the first 30 minutes on a weekday. See emergency call-out rates.
Do you give fixed quotes?
Yes. For planned work we survey the job and put a clear quote in writing, so you know the cost before we start.
