Office screen, power and data installation, Paddington
A large wall-mounted screen and media unit for an office breakout space in Paddington, central London, with power and data hidden in the wall and fed from floor boxes under the raised floor.
The brief.
The client wanted a large screen and sound bar in their open plan office in Paddington, for presentations, video calls and team events, without any cables showing on the wall or trailing across the floor. The office has a raised access floor, so we fed power and data from floor boxes underneath and ran everything behind the wall to the screen position.
What we did.
- Power and data outlets recessed behind the screen, so it sits flush against the wall
- Concealed cable route from behind the screen down to a neat outlet at the media unit
- Power and data fed from floor boxes under the raised access floor
- Data cabling terminated and tested, ready for the screen and conferencing equipment
- Work carried out in a live office, with tidy working and minimal disruption
- Testing and certification for the new circuits and outlets
The result.
A clean, professional finish with a screen that looks built in, no visible cables, and power and data where the client needs them for meetings and events.
